Basic Book Repair for General Collections

This two-day basic book repair workshop will help staff of small to medium size libraries, archives and historical societies become familiar with techniques for repairing books in general collections without the need for expensive equipment and supplies.
In this program you will learn about book structures, evaluating damaged materials and determining preservation options, working with a library binder, and three rebacking techniques, as well as minor repairs such as guarding and tipping-in loose pages.
