If you’re not a runner, consider being a donor.
The Boilermaker in Utica, is a 15K race established in 1978. It started with 800 runners and has grown to over 17,000 runners today. The race is on Sunday, July 12 but there are community events throughout the preceding week.
The Mid-York Library System has been chosen for the 2015 Boilermaker Charity Program.
Money raised through donations for MYLS will be used to purchase audiobooks. As fellow librarians, you know these are in high demand by people with vision impairments, caregivers who spend long hours in hospitals or doctors’ offices, travelers, walkers and runners.
In this year’s race, there are five MYLS team members on a track to raise a minimum of $796.42 each (the Dewey decimal number for running).
Make a donation today. Support the Mid-York libraries.
Let CLRC know if you plan to run the race and we’ll make sure our members get the news that you crossed the finish line!
