The Center for the Study of Multicultural Children’s Literature (CSMCL) advocates for multicultural children’s literature and includes librarians, teachers, parents, caregivers, students, and experts in the field of children’s literature.
CSMCL will award a $500.00 grant in selected multicultural children’s books to libraries that are having an El Día de Los Niños/El Día de Los Libros (Children’s Book Day) program with an African-American focus.
The Día grant is funded by the CSMCL in partnership with the Association of Library Services to Children (ALSC).
