Students created DIY kits of bracelets with UV beads for all PG students. Each small kit included UV beads, colored beads, string, and a keychain/lanyard clip for students to save their strings of beads as a memory of what they witnessed.The beads represented Baily’s Beads that appear in the eclipse cycle. Kits were shared with students and staff! Students were asked to record when they could START seeing the beads (during TOTALITY) and when they STOPPED being able to see the beads. It was wonderful to see students set up a system to efficiently create the kits. I had some volunteers at lunch who loved building the kits. We set up tables the day before ECLIPSE DAY for students to pick up the kits. Staff members were able to take kits for their own kids, as well.
