You can always count on Sue Kowalski to come up with a crazy idea. A crazy idea that works!

Sue is the award winning Pine Grove Middle School librarian. She is also an energetic library advocate, a NYLA Councilor-at-Large, CLRC committee member and amazing innovator, along with other nationally and regionally recognized accomplishments. Her latest brainstorm… purchase a mobile home and deliver books to students in satellite classrooms.

Pine Grove is undergoing renovations, so Sue and her RV (named Ms. Lindy) have taken the library on the road…rotating to six different locations. Students are allowed to browse through the inside bookshelves and select their books. And in the warmer weather, they can sit in lawn chairs or on blankets to read.

The RV is temporarily out of service until the weather improves but you can be sure to see it on the roads again come snow melt.

Check out the video Ms. Kowalski made to give a shout out to Ms. Lindy.
