I Love My Librarian Award invites library users nationwide to recognize exceptional public, school, college, community or university librarians!

Nominations are accepted online at ilovelibraries.org/ilovemylibrarian. Deadline is September 28.

Up to 10 librarians will be selected. Each will receive $5,000 cash, a plaque and travel stipend to attend the awards ceremony and reception in New York City on December 3, 2015.

Nominees must hold a master’s degree from an ALA accredited program in library and information studies or a master’s degree with a specialty in school library media from an educational program accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education. Nominees must be currently working in the United States in a public library, a library at an accredited two- or four-year college or university or at an accredited K-12 school.

In 2012, CLRC’s own Sue Kowalski, from the Pine Grove Middle School in East Syracuse-Minoa, was recognized for her dedication to the students and the profession. Read all about it.

It’s time to recognize and nominate another passionate Central New York librarian!
