CLRC would like to invite the Central New York library community to join us at the Everson Museum on November 19th to support its CNYFi initiative and library volunteer proposal, which has been selected as a finalist at the 2015 Fresh Ideas Summit, hosted by 40 Below.
40 Below is a non-profit organization of young professionals and community members with a passion for local revitalization and unparalleled dedication to Central Upstate New York. This organization acts as a vehicle for members to pursue passions, make changes, instill a sense of pride in the community, and promote the region as a vibrant place to live, work, learn and play.
Five groups, including CLRC, will be pitching their ideas to an audience of 400 people and a panel of four judges to win some or all of the $10,000 award fund. The winner(s) will be announced by the end of the evening!
The event is free, but you must RSVP to attend, as space is limited:

Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served from 5-6 with a cash bar. Presentations will begin at 6, with the evening coming to a close by 8pm.
CLRC’s proposal extends the new CNYFi hotspot and laptop lending initiative, and engages with 40 Below to build a volunteer force to work in favor of libraries in Syracuse and the communities they serve.
We know that the opinion of the crowd will be taken into account as the final decision is made, and we want the library to show up in force!
