The Empire State Center for the Book (with the generous support of David Rubenstein and the Library of Congress) is seeking nominations for a state literacy award to be given to a not-for-profit organization whose literacy project delivers impact through partnership within the New York State library community.

A panel of judges will select the a winner and award $500 to support the work of the literacy project. The award will be presented at the New York State Writers Hall of Fame Induction Gala on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
Applicants should be aware that the winner and nominator must be present at the gala to be held at the Princeton Club in New York City. Please note: the Center for the Book cannot underwrite travel expenses.
