Webinar: Turning the Page – ADHD and Employee Policies

Webinar Description:
This presentation will share the findings from a pilot study that looked into the workplace experiences of library employees with ADHD and how (or if) public library policymakers take these experiences into account when making internal policies. Five public library employees were interviewed about their workplace experiences, then policymakers were surveyed based on the issues raised in those interviews. The goal is to offer insights into strategies that can make library environments more inclusive and supportive for employees with ADHD. Real stories from those with ADHD will be shared and used to provide practical tips for policymakers and leaders on how to improve inclusivity in their libraries.
Learning Objectives:
- Upon completion, participants will understand what ADHD is.
- Upon completion, participants will learn common things library employees with ADHD have reported they struggle with.
- Upon completion, participants will learn what actions they can take to better meet the needs of library employees with ADHD.
