The Onondaga Free Library partnered with Westhill High School in the Westhill Central School District and created an enhanced learning opportunity for students and families around the theme of the Iditarod.
Biking by the Book is part of our larger effort to revamp the middle school library into someplace students want to come. Students, faculty, and staff were all asked the question, “What would make you want to come to the library more often?”
In November of 2019 I was able to attend the AASL 2019 conference in Louisville, Kentucky with the financial assistance of CLRC. This was the first national library conference I have ever been able to attend.

Thanks to a Professional Development grant through CLRC, I was able to attend the 2020 New York Library Association Annual Conference virtually. This conference offered a wide variety of professional development programs to attend and I am looking forward to trying some of the things I learned and ideas I got at my library.
Thanks to the Central New York Library Resources Council Professional Development Grant, I was able to attend a three-part webinar series offered by the Library Journal and School Library Journal entitled “Equity in Action: Building Diverse Collections”.
Thanks to the generosity of the CLRC’s Professional Development Grant, I was able to virtually attend a workshop entitled ‘Arrangement & Description: Fundamentals’ offered by the Society of American Archivists (SAA) on October 26 and 29, 2020.
Due to the generosity of the CLRC’s professional development grant, I was able to travel to Louisville, Kentucky in mid November, 2019 to attend the Biennial Conference of the American Association of School Librarians.
