I am very appreciative of CLRC for awarding me a professional development grant because I was able to attend the Library Diversity and Residency Studies Conference in Greensboro, NC, from August 26-27, 2019.
Being part of the NYLA Empowerment, Advocacy, and Leadership Academy was a great opportunity to strenghen my own professional skills.

The Central Libraries Resources Council’s (CLRC) Professional Development Grant helped enable me to attend the Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) conference in January 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. As a Library Media Specialist at the elementary level in Liverpool Central School District, I have the unique ability to push in to classrooms and instruct on information literacy, technology, and literature.

The Central New York Libraries Resources Council (CLRC)’s Professional Development Grant enabled me to attend the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Working Group (NESAWG) Annual Conference, It Takes a Region: Cultivating a Transformative Food System held in Philadelphia, PA.
Thanks to a Professional Development Grant from the CLRC, I attended the Library Marketing and Communications Conference (LMCC) in St. Louis, Missouri. The conference has been held annually since 2015 and has grown every year as libraries recognize the need to improve their social media, branding, web design, and communications in order to better position themselves to have their messages heard, collections and services well-used, and programs well-attended.
