On Thursday, November 10, forty-eight ILLers attended Exploring Resource Sharing Partnerships, a one-day conference jointly hosted by CLRC and the South Central Regional Library Council (SCRLC) at SUNY Cortland.
The day’s presenters included:
* Alena Miller, OCLC
* Seangill Peter Bae, Princton University
* Alex Hodgson, ReadCube
* Meredith Lowe Prather, Museum of Flight, Seattle
* Gregg Keihl, TC3
* Beth Posner, The Graduate Center, CUNY
* Carrie Russell, ALA
What a line-up and what an amazing event! Attendees learned more about international resource-sharing, received an update on the latest from OCLC, got the scoop from ALA on copyright and information policy, heard about ILL’s transforming services, and also about ReadCube, a document-on-demand service. There was even time to post on the “Wall of Frustration” and discuss the issues that drive us nuts.
Congratulations to Tiffany Raymond of Wells College and Nichole Schwartz from SUNY Cortland, winners of the raffled ILL books, Resource Sharing Today: A Practical Guide to Interlibrary Loan, Consortial Circulation, and Global Cooperation by Corinne Nyquist.
All attendees received a “google cardboard” to go exploring on their own. Looking forward to seeing everyone next year.
