Fan photos of the cast of ‘One Tree Hill’ filming in Park City, UT

One of our readers, Christina, checked out the set of One Tree Hill on their last day of filming for the season (maybe forever) in Park City, UT. Here’s what Christina had to say about meeting the cast and a few of her photos:

This past Friday I was in Park City, Utah and the cast of One Tree Hill was filming there and I only knew this information thanks to OLV! I love One Tree Hill and I have watched every season. I am praying it gets picked up for season 8. After waiting about 3 hours outside in the snow I was able to get my picture with some of the cast. The cast members were so nice and very friendly. They took several pictures and chatted with their fans for a while. The only 2 cast members that were outside watching their fans (including me) in the cold and would not come over while all their other cast mates made the time were Sophia Bush (Brooke) and Austin Nichols (Julian). Sophia Bush (Brooke) is my favorite and I actually called her over 3 times and she kept telling me “I will come over in a minute” but she never did. They were already done filming on Friday and she was standing outside but would not come over. I was so disappointed because I just adore her on the show. Anyways, I got to meet most of the cast and wanted to share with you. Overall, it was a great experience.

  1. I was there for about three days when the cast was filming in Utah as well. It was great meeting them! My favorite was Sophia. She signed autographs for me and my friends and talked to us for a few minutes before a crew member called her back to film. She was SO incredibly nice and friendly. She is hands down, the most down- to- earth person ever! I heard she was kind of sick one of the days…..she had a cold. So maybe thats why she didn’t come over. I know that she usually stays away when she’s not feeling too well out of fear of making someone else sick, especially the fans.

  2. Yeah, I agree, I’ve met Sophia so many times in Wilmington filming. Sophia and Austin are normally the friendliest with the fans from what I’ve seen, they always always come over more than any other cast member in Wilmington! It’s true when Sophia is sick, she does usually stay away.
I’m sorry you didn’t get a chance to meet her. But as someone who’s met her many times, I can assure you she’s so so kind, and has a BIG heart with her fans. and I hope you don’t have a bad opinion of her now. Everyone has off ideas you know?
Anyway, I’m so glad to see you met everyone else!

  3. Amazing experiences! 🙂 I can assure you that Sophia and Austin are the greatest people, there must have been a good reason why they didn’t come over! When I was in Wilmington the week before for the first part of the finale … I couldn’t get away from Sophia and Austin <3 they were so sweet!!!! Just depends what's going on … I know Sophia and Austin went over to fans earlier that week in Parkcity. Too bad you didn't get to meet the BEST cast member, who is that you ask? Lee Norris, of course! <3 he's amazing … truly amazing.

  4. Taylor, Amanda, and Katie, I would love to see your photos of when you met the cast of OTH. Taylor, you said you met them in Park City so I would really love to see your photos. Believe me, Sophia and Austin were not sick and the way they were acting was rude. Sophia actually said she would come over to us and then she just did not come over and that is rude. By saying she would come over (but she never did) I am guessing she was not sick. Everyone else was super nice and I will not be able to watch OTH and think of Sophia the same and she was my favorite.

  5. I can completely understand what you’re saying Cristina. You said that you saw them on Friday and that was the last day of filming. I was there on Friday as well. I had dragged my boyfriend to Park City to go see the cast. We ended up bumping into Sophia and Austin at a cafe and I got to talk to them for a few minutes. They were both really, really nice. But you could tell that Sophia wasn’t feeling that well. She was sniffling and I think something may have happened because she looked kind of upset. She was really nice to my boyfriend and I but you could tell she was having an off day. When I went over to where the cast was filming, I talked to one of the crew members trying to get him to spill about some spoilers.Lol And he told me Sophia wasn’t feeling well either. So I guess when she was telling you that she was going to come over, she was planning on doing it, but then changed her mind because to me, it appeared something may have been bothering her. It was my first time meeting her on Friday and I had a very pleasant experience with her. And my friends who’ve actually traveled to Wilmington to see her and the cast over the years have all had very pleasant experiences with her as well. From my knowledge, that kind of experience you had with Sophia is rare, so to me, it seems like there was something going on with her. My email address is veracity07 at hotmail. If you want, feel free to email and I can tell you more about my experience with them that day.

  6. I just wanted to say that I am super glad everyone had a great experiance in Park City. I didn’t get a chance to go out there, but I did get to Wilmington the last week of shooting. It was so much fun meeting and working with the cast. I was an extra on wed 3/3 and me being me almost ran into Rob in the hallway.(I did catch some of the dialoge for the final episode. should be a good one). And to top it all off that same night I got to meet and chat with Grubb’s, Shantel, James, Stephen, Rob and Mark at the Real Cafe. I must say Shantel is a sweet heart. We didnt want to ask for them to sign anything or take pictures, since they were there eating after a very long day of shooting. However, Shantel and Mark asked if we would like a picture or anything signed. Lets keep our fingers crossed for a season 8!

  7. Thanks for sharing your wonderful pics and story with us! As someone who was in Wilmington for the first time the week before they were done shooting, my week was filled with “Almosts” and “just missed” moments with meeting the cast! Very disappointing but I’m hoping, praying, looking for 4 leaf clovers and rabbits feet that they will return for a Season 8. CW owes it to the fans to allow this show to come back and at least wrap it up and give it a proper send off if the show has reached it’s end. I personally think it’s the best season they’ve had in a LONG TIME! Shantal, Rob and Jana are wonderful additions to the show! And, after visiting Wilmington and seeing how much this show helps the community, the local businesses and it’s residents by bringing in tourists and employing locals I would hate to see this happen right now, especially in this economy.

  8. Sophia has never been bitchy. I knew this post was just going to end up giving a hater some leeway into making up a stupid story. I’ve personally met Sophia a total of six times since I’m always going to Wilmington every year to meet the cast, and all six times, I’ve had nothing but memorable and wonderful experiences with her. She is definitelty one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and all six times, she was also the most friendliest. Maybe that one Friday in Park City was not her day and thats understandable. And this is coming from a person who has had more than her fair share of very bad meetings with some of the other castmembers over the years. I’m not going to name names but all I know is that Sophia is entitled to having a bad day just like everyone else. I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with the others but I understand that they are human so I’m not holding any grudges.

  9. Here we go with all of the people quick to defend queen Sophia. She may be a nice person or a bitch for all anyone knows. She’s an actress. No one knows the type person she is truly, same for every actor. I’m sick of people being super quick to defend her when she exhibits less than stellar behavior. There are times when she has been a straight out bitch to fans in the past.I was in Wilmington for a charity game when she was being bitchy to some fans. She’s not perfect. I wish people would realize that and stop making excuses for her like Sophia Bush is above it all.

    • I completely agree with you! I was beginning to think I was the only one who thought this! You can’t tell who a person is after one encounter with them…

  10. I am NOT making excuses. I was ALSO at the charity event you’re talking about as well. I was watching her and the rest of the cast that was there the entire time. A few people just blew the entire thing out of proportion and most of it had to do with the fact that Sophia said she liked Leyton and because she wasn’t going all “ga ga” over Brucas like the Brucas fans wanted her to(not that I blame her because of what she had to go through in her personal life regarding the guy who plays one half of Brucas). I’m not saying she’s above all but it amazes me when a person who doesn’t have the greatest experience with her just automatically assumes that she’s not a nice person, period. When the fact is that for every person who didn’t have a great meeting with her, there are like 100 who DID. And the only reason I’m on her side on this is because I’ve had some AWFUL experiences with the some of the other castmembers and compared to those, what Sophia may have said or may have done doesn’t even come close. I understand that they are actors and that NO ONE is perfect. Not me, Not you, Not anybody. But I saw what the poster had to say and I responded with my own experiences and experiences of other people. Period.

  11. Sophia Bush fans are the biggest hypocrites I’ve ever witnessed.

If Sophia doesn’t come over to greet fans, she must have a legitimate excuse, forget the part that she blatantly lied to her fans she must be sick. But, god forbid Joy not come over because otherwise she’s just a big ole bitter bitch who hates all fans.

    Riiight.

  12. Let’s not even talk about hypocrisy here because like Katherine, I can assure you that I’ve seen members of the cast do and say things over the years that will make Sophia not coming over to greet fans one time as if it was the greatest thing ever. And what makes anyone think she lied about being sick? She never once in Utah came out and threw herself a pity party while saying she was sick. A few crew members and some fans who bumped into her that day themselves said Sophia wasn’t feeling well and that she looked sick and upset about something going on with her. And trust me, the last thing anyone wants to be doing is bringing up bad fan experiences because I’ve had my fair share of bad encounters involving Joy and some others. But you don’t see me making comparisons or digging into this. Just let it be and move on. If someone had a bad experience, just keep it to yourself instead of adding fuel to the fire and getting everyone all hyped up. Because it’s just going to result in more people hating on everyone in the cast with whom they had a bad metting with and then start describing their encounters which will just upset/piss off the fans. Just let it be.

  13. ^I must let it be BUT that’s ONLY possible AFTER you continue to legitimize the ‘sick’ excuse to clear Sophia Bush’s name.

    Hypocrisy? Yes.

You could’ve truly “let it be” by dismissing my comment/ignoring it. You tell me not to add fuel to the fire, but realize that’s exactly what you just did.

Oh and I don’t take orders from random people who disagree with me. One of the perks of public forums. If I chose to believe that Sophia Bush’s falseness in her approach to fans to peaceably pacify them is WRONG while Joy’s genuine bluntness when she’s not interested even though people take offense to it is RIGHT is my opinion which I have a right to express.

  14. ^^Oh Please. Get the hell over it. Are you really going to sit there and pretend like you know everything when you clearly don’t? Are you a psychic or a doctor? How would you know if someone is sick and is having a bad day? You’re sitting there saying that “you have a right to express your opinions.” Well guess what? Others have a right to express their’s as well and they have an bigger right to talk about their experiences as well as share what they saw or didn’t see that day. So when you have a couple of people saying that they noticed how someone was wasn’t feeling well on a specific day because they were THERE, it’s incredibly immature to keep on claiming that those people are’t telling the truth and that the “sick claim” is nothing but an excuse. I’m not on anyone’s side but your comment just made me laugh. And if you really want to bring up Joy, let’s start with how funny I find it that Cristina was able to actually get a picture with Joy when fan after fan who goes to Wilmington is always saying how Joy completely ignores her fans and disrespects them. And this is coming from someone who actually likes Joy but even as a fan, I’m willing to admit that she isn’t exactly the nicest from the cast and has a tendency to ignore fans who want to meet/see her. And her bluntness isn’t always “genuine” like you claim it is because I have friends who have been on the receiving end of her so called “genuine bluntness.”

  15. I happen to think all of this arguing over Sophia and Joy is pointless. I think if Sophia didn’t bother to come over, that’s her business. That doesn’t mean she’s a bitch or that she’s sick. The sad part is: we’ll probably never know why she didn’t come over to greet Christina(sorry about that, by the way, Christina) and furthermore I think it’s pathetic that all the Sophia Bush fans would actually resort to picking on Joy just because they feel that their precious actress is getting picked on. I personally love both of the actresses(even though I’ve never had the opportunity to meet them) and they could both be bitches for all we know. That’s why their both called “actresses” because they know how to act anyway they feel necessary. That’s all I have to say for now. Please no bitchy replies. One Tree Hill rules!! (:

  16. Well reading back on the comments, it was a Joy fan who brought up Joy’s behavior and not a Sophia fan(Look at post 13). So don’t try blaming Sophia fans for bringing up Joy’s behavior with fans. And reading the comments, no one was picking on Joy. All some people said was that Joy displays less than stellar behavior when confronted with fans most of the time and that was only AFTER a Joy fan randomly brought her into this. I like both women as well so I’m not going to sit here and choose one over the other. But I do think it’s unfair how fans of a particular actor/actress are sometimes blamed for bringing up another actor/actress claiming it was done so to make their favorite look good. I’ve seen it happen many times before and on other shows as well and the accusations are always nothing but childish and ridiculous. But I do agree on the fact that One Tree Hill rulessssss.

  17. Has anyone had a negative experience with CMM or HB? C, wouldn’t be surprised, but I’ve usually heard he is good to fans. HB, loove her but heard mixed. please email me at xanderzgirl34@yahoo.com cause idk if i’ll remember this site. As for Joy, well I personally hate the character of Haley. Peyton was my favorite. Clay is this season. Was Rob nice? Seems like he would be.

  18. Rob is really nice.
Hilarie used to have her days. Some days, she was nice, other’s she wasn’t.
Chad used to be a huge douchebag to fans for the first few years of OTH. Even the crew will tell you that. But when he started getting bad press with the demise of his marriage, he changed his tune and was nicer to fans. Although some days he was pretty rude.
The nicest person in the cast is Lee. He is always great to talk to and he is very approachable and polite.
