‘Pirates of the Caribbean 4’ begins filming at the Old Royal Naval College

Today, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides began filming at the Old Royal Naval College on the campus of the University of Greenwich, in Greenwich, London, England.

For the past week, teams of builders have been putting the final touches on the site in preparation for the shoot which last about 6 weeks.

This is just the latest in a long line of recent films who have shot scenes at the Naval College including The Duchess, Gulliver’s Travels, The Golden Compass and The Wolfman.

The Pirates crew filmed at Buckinghamshire’s Pinewood Studios for most of last week after wrapping in Hawaii and Los Angeles.
