Thanks to Rob for sending us a few more photos from the set of Superman: Man of Steel which was filming at Union Station in Chicago last week. He caught Michael Shannon, who plays General Zod in the movie, arriving to set and a group of extras who were instructed to look up to the sky.
You can see more of Rob’s pics here too.
Another one of our readers, Ed, recently posted a photo of Michael in costume over on the Superman Facebook page, which you can check out below:
Andy, who also sent us a couple pics from the Superman shoot (below), explained that the extras were either watching General Zod flying in/approaching the train station or Superman flying towards the train station to save the day (apparently Zod caused some mayhem in the scene).
The movie has now officially wrapped in Chicago and will begin filming in Vancouver on September 21. According to The Vancouver Sun, the Vancouver Island Ucluelet will be turned into an Alaskan fishing village for filming which will take place during the week of October 3. The movie will continue filming around Vancouver through January 21, 2012 and will be based at Mammoth Studios in Burnaby, at 2880 Underhill Ave.
If you spot Superman filming around Vancouver, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
