‘CSI: NY’ is actually filming on the streets of NYC this weekend

Even though CSI: NY is set in New York City, the majority of the series is shot in Los Angeles, though the cast and crew do travel to NYC once or twice a season to shoot a few scenes on location.

It looks like they’ll be making another one of those annual trips this weekend as a casting call was recently issued looking for extras for the show in New York on October 1, 3, 4, and 5.

The casting call is only looking for extras who own NYPD uniforms so it is unclear what or where they will be filming, or which cast members will be there (if any).

One of our readers also spotted No Parking signs for CSI: NY in Manhattan earlier this week, so they may already have a second unit in town filming.

If you spot signs for CSI:NY or see them filming in NYC, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

  1. There’s a casting call for a stand-in, but the description sounds like Carmine Giovinazzo, Caucasian male with brown hair, 30-45, 5’8′-5’10”, not Cahill and it’s for Saturday.
