‘The Walking Dead’ will be filming in Senoia, GA on Monday, October 24

The Walking Dead, which debuted the first episode of its second season to record numbers Sunday night, is planning to shoot a big scene in Senoia, GA on Monday.

The shoot will take place at Eastside Elementary and will cause road closures at the intersection of Old Highway 85 and Luther Bailey Road from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

This season filming has shifted from metro Atlanta where much of season 1 was shot, to surrounding areas including Sharpsburg, Newnan and Griffin.

“The shooting takes place while the students are in class,” said Dean Jackson, Coweta schools public information officer. “Basically, they should not be exposed to it at all.”

It’s not known exactly what scene they are shooting at the school.
