Seth Rogen’s ‘The End Of The World’ prepping for shoots in Jefferson Parish and Elmwood, LA

As we’ve reported, filming is currently underway in the New Orleans area for The End of the World, aka The Apocalypse, aka Cataclysm.

The End Of The World is being called “an end of days comedy” that will also mark the directorial debut of Seth Rogen. The movie was inspired by a short film called Jay and Seth vs The Apocalypse in which Rogen and Jay Baruchel play their real life selves while they ride out the end of the world in their apartment.

Besides Rogen the all-star cast also includes James Franco, Jonah Hill, Danny McBride and Craig Robinson. Jason Segel, David Krumholtz, and Emma Watson are also expected to make cameos.

We’ve heard the movie is filming a party scene in Harahan, LA this week and will next be shooting in Jefferson Parish.

According to The Times-Picayune, workers are currently building sets in a vacant lot just past Maine Street on Jefferson Highway in Old Jefferson. They are busy creating a Los Angeles street set for the film. The shoot at this location is expected to take place in mid-May.

There will be some filming in New Orleans for End Of The World before filming they wraps in July, but the majority of the shoot will take place in Elmwood, LA, where we’ve heard they’ve also built a soundstage.
