According to one of our tipsters, @JoeMacsSweetpea, the new movie Empire State is filming at/around Webster’s Restaurant, 3208 Clearview Pkwy, Metairie, LA through next week.
Empire State, which stars Liam Hemsworth, Emma Roberts, Nikki Reed, and Dwayne Johnson, follows two childhood friends whose plan to rob an armored car depository is put in jeopardy by a New York police officer.
According to Louisiana Film, the movie will spend 5 weeks filming in and around in New Orleans.

I saw the restaurant with a tarp around it. I wondered what was being filmed when I saw all the trucks outside. I did not see Dwayne, but there were many people out there. there have been several film groups around this area lately.
thanks for confirming they are filming there, someone else also saw signs in Gretna this week…maybe they have 2 locations, or are just setting up at the restaurant?
