Yesterday one of our readers, Mara, was lucky enough to meet Michael C. Hall on the set of Dexter in Long Beach, CA and she sent us a few pictures they took on the set. A couple of our other readers, Tim and Bree, also spotted the massive set which included “Miami Metro Police” trailers and an ice cream stand!
Dexter films in Long Beach often as it is a perfect location to fill in for Miami, where the show is set.
There’s been lots of Dexter news circulating this week. First, the show’s executive producer Scott Buck confirmed what we speculated a couple of weeks ago – season 7 will pick up right where the season 6 finale left off as Deb realizes Dexter is a murderer.
“Viewers might think we shy away from that moment of Debra walking in and seeing Dexter stabbing into Travis’ chest, but it’s just the opposite,” Buck said. “She now has to deal with what she’s seen and what she knows. And it forces him to defend and define himself.” They also released the first chilling photo of the siblings’ confrontation (above).
In other news, Yvonne Strahovski, who played CIA operative Sarah Walker on Chuck, will have a multi-episode arc in the upcoming season too.

Where is the Dexter location in Long Beach?
They finished filming at that particular location yesterday, but will soon be back in Long Beach. That location was near the Trader Joes in the Marina Pacifica.
They were shooting around e 2nd and PCH, it was easy to find, i got there at about 5pm and it appears they had wrapped up for the day (although i saw an audi = MCH car in front of his trailer..) And long as OLV keeps posting i’ll keep trying to get scoop on my favorite tv show! Thanks OLV!
