We have a few new photos from the set of The Walking Dead in Senoia, Georgia this week thanks to one of our readers, Jeff.
In the photos we get a glimpse of some of the sets that were built around town for season 3, including the fictitious Woodbury Coffee House.
In a recent interview the show’s Executive Producer, Glen Mazzara, said Woodbury and the world outside the prison, where much of season 3 will be set, is going to be an important part of upcoming episodes.
“We’re interested in opening up the world, he said. “You know, the governor has a world of (Woodbury). There are other factors out there in the world, other groups. So I think that Rick’s group is really stumbling into a much larger world.”
It also sounds like we’ re lucky to have these photos since the show is making a serious effort to keep any leaks about the upcoming season tightly under wraps. “Leaks have been a problem and that is something that we take very seriously and also just the huge amount of attention that the show has — gets has been new territory for me,” Mazzara said. “AMC takes this stuff very seriously.”
Mazzara made news again this week too when he revealed how The Walking Dead won’t end. When asked if at the end of the series Rick and company will just catch a boat to France where they will find a safe haven, Mazzara said, “Nope. Nope. Nope, that’s against our internal rules here.”
