As we reported last month, it has been confirmed that Divergent will be filmed in Chicago this spring.
Reel Chicago is also now reporting the film, based on Veronica Roth’s young adult novel about a teenage girl who lives in a dystopian Chicago, will begin a 60-day shoot in April.
The movie will be based at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios.
Illinois Governor Pat Quinn’s Film Office reportedly worked hard to recruit the $40 million dollar movie, which will star Shailene Woodley as lead character Tris.
Claire Simon Casting is expected to handle all local casting for the project as well.
