‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ filming at SUNY Maritime College Community in Bronx, NY this week

We’ve learned the following memo has been distributed to the students and staff at SUNY Maritime College Community (Bronx, NY) regarding an upcoming shoot for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

The notice states that the “heaviest activity” will be taking place on Saturday, April 20 & Sunday, April 21, which means these will probably be the actual filming dates. In addition, we know they will be filming in Times Square tonight (4/15) and around Union Square tomorrow (4/16) so today’s activity is likely just set up.

Check out the full notice below and be sure to let us know if spot The Amazing Spider-Man 2 filming via email at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

Please be advised that Columbia Pictures will be filming portions of an “action hero” movie on Campus with related activity taking place on Monday April 15th through Wednesday, April 24th. We have not been told the exact name of the movie, but believe it involves an eight-legged insect.

We are keenly aware that classes are in session, thus, all efforts have been taken to limit any impact to students, faculty and staff. Every assurance has been given that the set-up, take-down, and filming will not affect the academic program. Columbia Pictures is accustomed to filming in areas, such as Manhattan, where they must abide by strict codes, and they understand that our programs cannot be compromised.

  1. If my school finds out this email was leaked, I have a feeling the entire regiment is going to get punished. Oh well at least it will provide some entertainment for a few day.
