‘Million Dollar Arm’, starring John Hamm, begins filming in Atlanta

Jon Hamm arrives in Atlanta this week to continue filming Million Dollar Arm after wrapping up the first leg of shooting in India.

The film is based on the true story of J.B. Bernstein, an American sports agent who discovered pro pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel, through a reality TV series, The Million Dollar Arm, he staged in India.

On Friday, Hamm shot the final Indian scenes for the film in Agra. Producer Mark Ciardi praised the country saying, “It has been a very pleasant stay. The Indian people have been very helpful and our shoot here has been better than we expected it to be.”

Today, Million Dollar Arm began filming at 1266 Brook Forest Dr NE, Atlanta where they spend the next couple of weeks filming.

  1. This is the movie about the cricketers, right? My neighborhood in Cobb has a large Indian immigrant community, and they have a standing cricket match at the tennis courts on Thursday nights. They’ll probably be thrilled to hear about a cricketing movie here in metro Atlanta. 🙂
