The highly anticipated movie Birds of Prey just began filming in Los Angeles. Birds Of Prey continues the saga of Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, along with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya. Ewan McGregor has also joined the cast as Black Mask.
The film is notable as it boasts an almost completely female cast that will come together to battle Gotham City’s bad guys. Though few details have been revealed about the plot, we do know the movie’s working title is Fox Force Five. According to ScreenRant, this is “the name of a fictional television show that never made it past the production of its pilot in the movie Pulp Fiction. Mia Wallace (Uma Thurman) mentions the show in one scene while discussing her brief flirtation with acting and how she had played one of the titular five – an all-female group of secret agents, each with their own specialty, similar to Charlie’s Angels.”
It is also notable that the movie is filming in Los Angeles as Suicide Squad was primarily filmed in Toronto. Los Angeles has already issued several filming permits for the movie (under the project title FFF), including one for filming at 433 S Spring St on Feb. 5 from 6:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
