One of our readers, Tom Tierney, sent us this photo of himself and Gerard Butler taken recently on the set of The Bounty. Its good to see Gerard mingling with fans and being so down to earth unlike his costar, Jennifer Aniston.
Jen displayed some divalicous behavior on the set last week when she made some poor PA hold a fan in front of her in between takes. I don’t how much that PA is getting paid, but I’m sure it’s not enough.
People Magazine claims that despite Jen’s set behavior, Gerard’s taking a liking to her and was spotted holding her hand and getting “cozy” with her at NYC’s latest celeb hotspot, The Jane Hotel on Saturday night. A witness told the mag, “Jen and Gerry went out on Saturday night,” the source noting that the cozy couple were surrounded by such others as Kirsten Dunst, also said Aniston and Butler “had cocktails and … They were hand in hand.” Of course Jen’s rep says they’re “just friends.”
I worked as a PA on that movie and Jen could not have been nicer. Never experienced her acting “Divalicous” and she even stopped the car she was in to say hi to fans on the side of the road.
what’s a PA and how do you become one? that sounds really interesting.
I think PA stands for Production Assistant. I think it depends, but some go tell the actors/actresses where to go and stuff. They also stop people from walking past certain areas. That’s what I’ve experienced when encountering PAs. Also, whenever I talked to them or anyone involved in a movie, they said they got their jobs because of family or friends so it’s all about connections.

Gerard’s photo is taken at night, when it’s nice and cool out. Jen’s is from the middle of the day (so it obvious wasn’t “while” gerard was with the fans) and most importantly, it was between takes. Have you spent time in nyc in the summer? You start sweating in 10 seconds. She has to go on camera; of course she needs to stay cool. If she doesn’t, it’s extra retouching time for hair and make-up people, which wastes everyone’s time and money on set. Especially when you’re shooting on location in nyc.
Besides, Jennifer has a great, longstanding reputation for being down to earth and friendly to fans. Cut her some slack inside of cooking up conflict-ridden blog headlines, will ya?

These comments are completely unfair to Jennifer and I think you should take them down. That day was incredibly hot in NYC and the fan was most likely to keep her make up from running between takes. I have worked as a PA and this technique is used a lot. I really don’t have much of an opinion on JA, but I’ve just lost a little respect for this website.
Could not agree more AM. Furthermore, the “PA” that is holding the fan is actually Jen’s longtime friend and make-up artist, Angela Levin. She has worked with and been friends with Jennifer for years. She is clearly doing her job of keeping the actress she is making up cool so as not to waste time retouching due to melting make-up from the heat.
It would be nice if sites spouting speculation as fact would actually do a little research first and ensure that what they are writing is accurate and true.
