A supervisor and four councilperson comprise the town board which is the executive, administrative and legislative body of the town.
Board Meetings are held twice a month at 5pm at Town Hall- 3699 State Route 12B

Assessors Board of Review
Members are appointed by the town board for a five-year term.
The Board meets annually on Grievance Day, the fourth Tuesday in May.
Duties include hearing complaints on real property assessments, deliberating, rendering decisions, and notification of petitioners by mail.
Order appropriate changes to assessment roll before it becomes final.

Planning Board
The Planning Board office is open Monday through Friday from 9:30 to 1:30 at Lumbard Hall on North Park Row in Clinton.
Office Coordinator Melinda Albertine is available to assist with planning projects. Office phone is (315) 853-3350.
The Kirkland Town Planning Board is charged with the review and approval of projects such as subdivisions, site plan reviews, signage changes, and planned development.
