'Appaloosa' Rome Photocall

Ed Harris has arrived in New Orleans to film “Big Red,” a coming-of-age story set in the 1960s that began production in NOLA this month.

The movie focuses on 12-year-old Andy Nichol, a bright student whose English teacher (played by Harris) pairs him on a project with the school’s biggest outcast, Stanley, who is also known as “Big Red.”

Harris is joining a cast that includes Chase Ellison (”Tooth Fairy”), Molly Parker (”Deadwood”), Daniel Roebuck (”Final Destination”) and WWE star Randy Orton.

Ed has already been spotted shopping at Whole Foods in New Orleans with one of his other co-stars, Amy Madigan!

If you see Harris or his co-stars around town, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

  1. When is “Big Red” coming out ? I’m very excited because my granddaughter had a roll in the movie, just as an extra, but her part was beefed up when she got there. So we are anxious to see it.

  2. Wow….talk about aging gracefully! Kudos to Amy and Ed for choosing to look like authentic human beings instead of nipped and tucked waxworks. Look at the life and energy in those faces!

    Beautiful, both of them.
