According to Plymouth Living, Scream 4 will begin filming in Plymouth, MI on Monday, July 19.

They have apparently built the facade of the Woodsboro Police Department onto Box Bar, 777 W Ann Arbor Trail, to be used as part of the set. There has also been a flyer distributed to local businesses showing them exactly where crews will be and what they can expect during shooting. Filming will take place at the location on Monday and Tuesday all day.

Check out the photo below of the “police station”. (Thanks to our anon tipster for sending it.)

  1. I live in Northville and watched the filming of Scream 4 and here I am sitting in Kellogg park watching the finishing touches being put on the makeshift Woodsboro police station next to the Box bar…

    • hey this message is for carrie. i just have two questions i would highly appreciate if you answer. are they going to be filming it any other days in july and is it an open or closed set? are there a lot of people that go to watch them film

      • Travis,

I read in the local paper (Plymouth) that the filming will be in Kellogg Park (across the street from the Box Bar). By default, it would have to be open as it’s the town’s main square. It also said that the parking deck will be closed–likely because the trailers will all be there.

        • DS, this is incorrect, and it has been pointed out by security that the park as well as several streets will be closed to foot and street traffic, while most of the local businesses will remain open. I would expect that parking on Main street, Ann Arbor Trail, and Penniman around the park will not be allowed (several permit signs were posted to that affect already). If you want to see filming downtown my suggestion is to park at the Plymouth Library, or so as not to upset local residents trying to use the library, you would do better to park in the parking lot off Wing and S. Harvey streets. Although that is a parking lot reserved for patrons of stores in that lot, it almost always has more than half of the spots open and is seen as “public parking”.

  2. cool, someone just sent me another picture of the set too, amazing that they can build those elaborate sets in a relatively short period of time.

  3. The set they constructed next to the Box Bar is the Woodsboro Police station. Crews were on site finishing construction today and finishing the signage on the building.

  4. Jonathan just sent me this info:
I live close to downtown Plymouth and I have been observing the crew
working over the last week constructing the set for filming today and
    tomorrow.

I want to report that the filming is likely to be fairly extensive and
will also include Kellogg Park, which is across from where the police
station set was built, and also a large, partly enclosed parking lot
across the park where Plymouth has its Farmer’s Market and other
    outdoor events.

I saw crew putting up a scream mask on a lamp post in the park and
then, a day later, a professional tree moving service (supervised by
film crew) carefully removed a tree that was on the path between the
police station set and that lamp post. The large enclosed parking
lot, which had a “Plymouth Gathering” sign has been replaced by a
“Woodsboro Gathering” sign. This all suggests that there will be a
lot of exterior shooting in and around the park. I am going to the
set this morning and can report more, if that would be helpful.

  5. I also got a ton of pics this morning too and it is a huge shoot, def. in park, on entire block, if anyone else check it out, let us know, I’m hoping for more pics of Adam Brody too. 🙂

  6. Security told me they had to take down the tree in the park because it would have ruined the shooting angles! It’s been moved to someone’s yard I think. They have the Woodsboro signs up on all the lamposts in the area so I’m guessing they will be shooting all over the park. David Arquette just posted a pic on Twitter of himself and Wes Craven in the park.

  7. I’m so jealous! I’m stuck at work until 5pm and I really wanted to check out what they are doing. Do ya’ll think they will still be filming after 5? I was thinking of stopping by Jimmy John’s for dinner so I can watch.

  8. Any sightings of Alison Brie? She’s such a cutie. I’m sure she’ll steal the show. I know she was in Northville last week but I missed her. Any info will be much appreciated, thanks!

  9. I went there today and they had a scream outfit on all of the lamp posts, but i couldn’t get close enough to really see or recognize the actors because there was security. They kept telling us to move around for different shots and angles. I had to park far down then walk up, but it wasn’t extremely crowded.

  10. Also there was (of what i saw) only young people there so i think they were just shooting flash back scens=es or something like that.

  11. We went up there today around 4pm. Everything was set up and in motion. They were filming only background, or establishing shots when we were there. We were there for about three hours and they filmed only three different sequences. They filmed two cars driving around the park and turning along with extras jogging in the park and a lady walking a dog. They then filmed the cars coming the opposite way. The over-sized scream masks were on each of the lampposts in the park for the car scenes.

They then took all the masks off the lampposts and filmed a scene that had a Woodsboro street cleaner sweeping the street in between the “police station” and the park. It also included two skater kids skating in front of the sweeper and into the park.

That’s all we saw. It seemed like they were wrapping up after that, but I don’t know. We left after the street cleaner sequence.

  12. yeah, i live in plymouth and its so cool to see this everymorning when i go downtown, its just so cool seeing it being filmed where i was born and raised.

  13. My husband, kids, and I went down to Kellogg park in downtown Plymouth tonight after dinner to check out the Woodsboro police station facade they built next to the Box Bar for the movie. It looked really cool. We had good timing because while we were there, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Neve Campbell showed up to do some still shots in front of the Wilcox House, kitty corner from the park (around 7pm.) We were only about 30 ft away from them. They were there for about 25 minutes, then waved to the crowd and were driven away in white SUVs. Director Wes Craven stuck around and went out to the crowd to sign autographs. Very cool to see all this going on so close to where we live. Anyone know if they are done shooting in Plymouth or will be around longer?

    • there’s a rumor they will do more shooting this week but its just a rumor at this point. Did you get any pics, would like to chekc them out if you did, sounds cool!

  14. had no trouble parking about 1 minute walk from the park. Took a pic of Courtney Cox walking in front of the fake police station talking with some hot blonde (not sure who it is) saw David Arquette walk into the fake police station. There were a lot of teens dresses in woodsboro letter jackets and cheerleading outfits just hanging in and around the park. they shot one scene with Courntey and another lady walking from the police station to the front of the box bar. was pretty fun. took 10 pics with my phone uploaded them to face book

  15. hi there! im a big fan of neve campbell and the scream movies. i was stoked when i found out they would be filming 20 mins from my house! i went to the wilcox house, and there was quite a crowd! i almost fainted when i realized i was standing about 20 ft. from neve!
