Here’s a list of movies and TV shows filming in and around NYC on Saturday, July 17. If you spot these or any projects filming in NYC, let us know at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

Arthur, starring Russell Brand and Jennifer Garner, is filming near the Courthouse in NYC (around Centre St and & White St in NYC). This is an exterior night shoot and the scene involves paparazzi! (Thanks Annie & Libs)

@olv Something tells me Arthur has a scene @Bloomingdales. Parking signs up on Third btwn 59 & 60th St. Also on 60 btwn Third & Lex.
(Guessing this might be over the weekend too (?) if anyone is around, please confirm dates, thanks! 🙂

  2. I was under the impression that SVU doesn’t film on the weekends. Is this a rare thing, or is it possible that I could catch the cast filming on a weekend at the end of August?

    • SVU won’t be filming the last 2 weeks of August. They are on a 2 week hiatus. Also Mariska has the Emmy’s the weekend of the 29th.

    • My guess is that they are filming on Saturday because they are at Grand Central Station. I couldn’t even begin to imagine how hard it would be to film there during the week, given how many people traverse there. It would be almost impossible to control the crowd and not have people walking in and out of their shots or not scream out their real names (which I have seen/heard people do when the crowd is really big) during shooting.

    • All of the weekend shoots for Arthur are overnight shoots. They shoot tonight all night into early Sunday morning, and there is also a shoot on Sunday night into early Monday morning. I think the one near Bloomingdales’s might be the Sunday/Monday shoot, although the poster didn’t give an exact day. The Court House location was definite for Saturday, and Sunday they are shooting in midtown, so 59th & Lex seems more likely for Sunday night.

    • From what I’ve read, he’s supposed to be introduced in the same episode in which Joan Cusack is guest-starring. She is shooting the premiere episode that they are filming this week, so I would guess he’ll be on set this week also. I believe he’s been signed for 2 episodes, so far.

  3. I went to see the Premium Rush filming on 40th street and 6th avenue but it was only a stunt scene, which was fun to watch, but no castmembers on location. Does anyone know when Joseph Gordon-Levitt will be filming ?

  4. Ah!!! Is there a way to find out if they need extras for the Arthur movie?!?!?! That’d be AMAZING!!! Or if they need extras for Curb Your Enthusiasm?!

  5. I just did a post about the FWB location but here are a couple more for next week, will add to calendar in AM:

    via @NurseKrissyMac @olv just saw signs for taping of Friends w/Benefits. Tues 7/20 6am-9pm. 63th st between Madison & 5th & 5th ave btwn 62nd & 63rd.
via @Aliblue @olv my idiot brother filming around 3rd ave and 20th on wednesday all day!

  6. Regarding SVU:
1)Wouldn’t Grand Central be a closed set since it’s inside?
2)Given the amount of people and the fact that it’s a Sunday would there be a lot of fans there?
3)If so is it worth going?
4)Is it likely to meet Mariska and Chris tomorrow? Can you actually see them?

If someone can answer this I would appreciate it so much!

    Thank you!
