No, Russell Brand isn’t the next Batman. But, he was spotted shooting a scene for his upcoming movie, Arthur in New York City last night. In the movie he plays an eccentric, drunken millionaire who stands to lose his fortune after falling for a woman his family doesn’t like.
Apparently, Brand’s character also has a thing for Batman, since this is the second scene we’ve seen that features the Batmobile!

I’m heading into the city for the day does anyone know if or where Russell Brand will be filming or any other movies filming in NYC on Friday July 23rd.
I saw Russel Brand filming today but it wasn’t in NYC! He was very nice to my daughter and showed her all around the set and introduced her to everyone.
Shook hands with me and my mother, offered us all refreshments, very politely…very nice guy!

It was on Long Island…they were supposed to be filming there today too, but with the rain, I dunno.
Russel was so cool…he did an improvisational scene with my daughter, and his bodyguard took 3 nice pics of him with her.
She met Jennifer Garner, too.
Russel is a very nice guy!
