Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides has been filming several ship scenes in Heeia Pier and Kaneohe Bay on the windward coast of Oʻahu, Hawaii for the past week or so. Kaneohe Bay is known for its coral reefs and a sandbar in the middle of the bay which is a sandy stretch of beach during lower tides but is completely submerged during high tide.
The shoot has been a huge draw for tourists and locals, many of whom have been posting pictures and videos from the shoot online.
