Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams recently began filming The Vow in Toronto.
The movie’s crew took advantage of Canada’s Labour Day holiday on Monday to shoot in Toronto’s unusually quiet Financial District. Originally, it was rumored that The Vow would film in Chicago, but it appears the entire film will be shot in Toronto with production wrapping onOctober 22. Today, filming continued in Toronto as Tatum and McAdams got caught in a (fake) rainstorm.
The movie is based on the real-life story of a New Mexico couple, Kim and Krickitt Carpenter. Shortly after marrying, the Carpenters were involved in a car crash that resulted in a head injury for Krickitt, played by McAdams. After she woke up, Krickitt could remember her family, but had no recollection of her husband. Despite the circumstances, Kim was not discouraged and instead decided to woo his wife all over again.
McAdams is definitely in her element for The Vow, not only is she no stranger to the romance genre, she also happens to be a Toronto native. Tatum seems to be enjoying himself too.
