  1. Does anyone know if french people can go to this casting call??? And have the chance to be an extra? If u don’t try you’ll never know so…
    Thx 4 the answer

  2. Casting calls all have to do with whether they like your look or not. If you plan to go be ready for a LONG wait since open calls are usually a thousand times bigger.
If you’re a French CITIZEN and NOT a US citizen, you will not get it unless you have a green card or permit to work in the US.

    • I don’t think you would qualify. If I’m not mistaken, a C-1/d visa is a crew visa, and you are only authorized to work for the crew/vessel for which the visa was issued.

    • From what I understand, with a J-1 visa you are not allowed to work in this country for anyone other than your sponsor. There are special exceptions, but working as an extra on a movie would not qualify for the exceptions.

  3. Thx u so much Annie 🙂 I got just one more question 4 u,hope I don’t bother u. Does it count if the sponsor that I have is not really big and has absolutely no relation w/ acting or somethng like that? I mean just to be an extra that sounds a little bit exaggerated

    • As far as I can see, the thing is that for Central to accept you, you need to be able to legally work in the US, and from what I’ve read, you are not legally allowed to work here with a j-1 visa, unless the work has something to do with your sponsor or the program you are here for. It does not matter who the sponsor is, or how big they are, I just don’t think it’s legal for you to work in the US, and if it isn’t, Central will not consider you, they can’t. They need a SS#, a green card or some legal docs that can be used for tax purposes, so you need to be legal.

  4. does anyone know if it’s possible to try out for two different categories? like if we think we could portray an upper east side type AND an experienced athlete?
