OLV Featured Reader: Devon Celebrates The Humane Society with Ian Somerhalder in New Orleans

Our latest featured reader, Devon, had the pleasure of meeting The Vampire Dairies’ Ian Somerhalder at a benefit for the St. Tammany Humane Society in New Orleans on Nov. 13.

The Unleashed: Bash on the Bayou was a Cajun-themed benefit catered by many of New Orleans’s finest restaurants like Zea Rotisserie Grill and Copeland’s.

The Chairman for the evening was Covington, LA’s own Ian Somerhalder and all of the proceeds from the event benefited the homeless animals at the St. Tammany Humane Society.

Devon happened uponĀ  info about the event on a Vampire Diaries message board and decided to go. She told us, “A friend and I flew down to New Orleans from Our home in South Carolina and enjoyed the city and then the event.”

Devon also told us that Ian spoke to the crowd and thanked everyone for coming. She added, “His mother was there as well. After talking to some family and eating, he spent the remainder of the evening patiently taking tons of pictures with fans. He seemed very appreciative and gracious. He was also very affectionate and gave lots of kisses and hugs to fans. It was a great night!”

It sounds like a perfect On Location Vacation!

If you’ve taken a recent “On Location Vacation” and want to be one of our featured readers, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com! And thanks again to Devon for sharing her story!
