Friday Time Suck: Movie Trailers for ‘Tree of Life’, ‘Thor’, ‘Take Me Home Tonight’, ‘Pirates 4’, ‘Beaver’, Limitless’, and ‘Vanishing’

We know first hand that the Friday before a holiday week can be one of the slowest days spent in a cubicle, so we have a little treat for you. Here are a bunch of new movie trailers guaranteed to keep you busy for the next ten minutes, or at least until your boss walks in!

Check out the new trailer for Take Me Home Tonight, which has been sitting a shelf for so long it was actually made before our site even started. That means we don’t have much about the filming locations but according to IMDb it was shot in Phoenix.

In case you haven’t gotten around to checking it out yet, here is the new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. And don’t worry, this probably won’t be the last we see of Jack Sparrow. There’s a rumor going around that they will be shooting two more Pirates movies and that the 5th and 6th installments will be filmed concurrently.

We tweeted a link to this trailer a week or so ago but it is worth posting again. Above is trailer for The Beaver, which stars Mel Gibson as a man who has anger issues and learns to express himself with the help of a beaver puppet. Could this mark Mel’s comeback?

Here’s the trailer for Hayden Christensen’s upcoming thriller Vanishing on 7th Street which was shot in Detroit. The movie will be in theaters on Feb. 18.

Just a couple days ago we told you that the title of the upcoming Bradley Cooper movie Dark Fields had been changed to Limitless and now we have a look the first trailer.

The teaser trailer for Thor is here!

Finally, here is the first trailer for The Tree of Life, starring Brad Pitt as Sean Penn’s dad in this flick directed by Terrence Malick. This movie has Oscar contender written all over it. We had to watch the trailer a couple times to really get a grasp on it, but it looks interesting, we’ll definitely be checking it out when it hits theaters!

  1. I’ve heard really good things about VANISHING ON 7TH STREET and am lolking forward to seeing this one. I love the “slant” Brad Anderson gives to a film, I like the genre, and I am a HAYDEN CHRISTENSEN fan! Hayden is so talented and is SO nice to look at on that big screen (or small screen for that matter!), he’s certainly got that “it” factor Hollywood moguls talk about, besides, he’s such a sexy guy! Ha ha!
