Confirmed: Garry Marshall’s ‘New Year’s Eve’ will shoot in Times Square on New Year’s Eve

Its been rumored that Gary Marshall’s follow up to Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve, would shoot in Times Square on Dec. 31, 2010 and now we can confirm the rumor is true– Gary Marshall will have at least one unit for the movie in Times Square tomorrow night.

Like Valentine’s Day, the new film has an all star cast including Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Lea Michele, Hilary Swank, Halle Berry and many more, though we aren’t sure who will actually be on set tomorrow night.

If you’re in Times Square tomorrow waiting for the ball to drop, be on the look out for the cast and crew of New Year’s Eve and, of course, be sure to let us know all about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com or @olv on Twitter.

    • From what I’ve heard, this was always meant to be all second unit filming to get some shots with holiday atmosphere, since the start date for principal photography has been pushed back to February 1st. There are still some casting calls for extras for Mon. and Tues. but I’m pretty sure there won’t be any stars involved then either.

  1. Thanks Annie! I heard they would be filming all around the city and guessed it would be sim. to Fri with no big stars since they are moving all around, it’ll be fun when it really starts filming though with this huge cast!
