‘The Hobbit’ filming delayed due to Peter Jackson’s health problems

Wow how unlucky can a movie production be? The Hobbit just seems to be plagued by problems, first MGM studios almost went bankrupt, then Peter Jackson was accused of casting racism. Now it seems as if The Hobbit is once more in trouble, production was halted due to Peter Jackson being hospitalized.

According to Stuff Peter Jackson checked into a hospital with a perforated ulcer, where he underwent surgery and is now resting. While the Docs say he is going to be fine, a publicist with The Hobbit production, confirmed that it will cause “a slight delay to the start of filming” on the movie.

While Jackson is doing better, one has to look at the cause for an ulcer like the one Peter Jackson has suffered. According to experts, the ulcers are mostly caused by stress, which we can all agree Jackson has suffered from during the past few years. At first Jackson didn’t even want to direct the flick, but was almost forced into it.

While we are definitely looking forward to The Hobbit, we wish Jackson the best and a speedy recovery.

  1. Peter get better soon you are truly an amazing person, Director , Producer ETC: make sure you take a few minutes to take care of yourself!! sending my prayers and <3 to you!!

  2. Thank you for keeping us informed of all that is happening. I remember looking forward to the hobbit’s release. Both books and films. I reviewed the whole universe with pleasure. And I look forward to each subsequent film, but now I understand that the health of one of the actors is more important than the new film. After all, if he is healthy, then the continuation is definitely waiting for us. Well, of course, you could replace him if something happens, but it is very difficult to get used to another actor performing your favorite character. Therefore, I hope that Peter Jackson will recover and will soon be happy to introduce a new part of his favorite universe.

  3. Every day, most of our time is occupied by household tasks and responsibilities, taking care of family and loved ones, own urgent matters, fulfilling obligations to other people, hobbies, planning rest and free time. But we often forget: nothing is more important than our own health.

  4. I am totally agreed with the comments above. First of all, our health is most important, after there is family and your job. Sometimes people forget that money can’t buy everything, for example health or love, or smiles and hugs of your beloved ones. So, the movie can wait, hope he will recover soon.
