George Clooney will spend one day shooting ‘Ides of March’ in NYC this spring

A couple weeks ago we tweeted that we had heard Ides of March would be shooting in NYC after wrapping in Cincinnati and Detroit, but didn’t have too many details until now.

Apparently, director and star George Clooney will only be spending one day in New York, which is tentatively scheduled for April 9 (this is also expected to be the last day of principal photography).  Rumor has it the scene will involve The Charlie Rose Show and will be shot at the show’s NYC studio located at 731 Lexington Ave.

Clooney is currently  filming Ides of March, about a Democratic governor campaigning in presidential primaries, in Cincinnati, Ohio. On Monday, March 7, production moves to Detroit, MI.

The movie also stars Ryan Gosling, Marisa Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright and Max Minghella.
