‘Captain America’ might be headed back to the U.K. for re-shoots

According to CraveOnline, it looks like Captain America might be headed back to the U.K. for re-shoots, just a few months before the movie is set to hit theaters:

Recently, while attending a press event that included several props from Marvel Studios productions, including Captain America’s iconic shield, we asked if this was the same prop that had been shown at the Marvel booth at last year’s Comic Con. We were informed by a staffer that the this shield was not previously shown at SDCC, and it was different from the one seen at SDCC. The staffer also said that this particular shield was used in the film, and was actually going to be sent back to the UK in two weeks to be used in reshoots.

Though re-shoots are sometimes a sign that the a movie needs some fine-tuning, it’s also possible the additional shoot was planned due to scheduling or other conflicts- in other words, don’t panic, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

The movie, which stars Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Hugo Weaving, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Samuel L. Jackson, Dominic Cooper, Tommy Lee Jones, Stanley Tucci, Neal McDonough and Derek Luke, opens July 22.
