Join Matt Bomer, Julie Bowen, & others raise money for HIV programs at AIDS Walk NY

The annual AIDS Walk New York has helped raised more than $116 million for HIV programs and services in the tri-state area, and, since its inception in 1986, has grown into the largest AIDS fundraising event in the world.

In 2010 alone, 45,000 participants, many of whom were members of more than 3,000 corporate and community teams, raised over $5.8 million for GMHC and 50 other tri-­state area AIDS service organizations.

 

This year, the 10k (6.2 mile) AIDS Walk route begins and ends in Central Park on Sunday, May 15. Walkers can sign-in at 8:30 a.m., the walk will begin at 10:00 a.m.

In previous years, celebs including Whoopi Goldberg, Alec Baldwin, Matthew Broderick, Susan
Sarandon, Jon Stewart, Christopher Meloni and others have joined the walk.

This year’s celebrity guests include Modern Family’s Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, White Collar’s Matt Bomer and Glee’s Dot-Marie Jones.

  1. You may not be able to meet them, but you may get a glimpse of them, I’m sure there will be thousands of people there so it might be tough to actually meet them…
