There are several new high profile projects getting ready to begin filming in New Orleans this summer including The Paper Boy starring Zac Efron and Parker starring Jason Statham.

Headshot aka Bullet In The Head aka Untitled Walter Hill Project, starring Sylvester Stallone, begins filming in New Orleans on June 27 for 45 days. Resumes can be sent to headshotfilm2011@gmail.com.
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is currently filming in New Orleans but will wrap on June 30.
21 Jump Street also wraps filming in New Orleans this week.
Universal Soldier is currently filming in Baton Rouge.
New Hope is currently filming in Neville. Extras are being sought for several scenes, details can be found here.
GI Joe 2 is currently in pre-production and begins in August. Batherson Casting is handling extras.

Fire with Fire will shoot June 27th to July 23rd in New Orleans. The crew for this one was spotted scouting a location near some abandoned warehouses off Tchoupitoulas in New Orleans. They were taking photos and the area would be used as a hide out for one of the characters who witnesses a murder. The movie stars Bruce Willis and 50 Cent. Parker, starring Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez, will begin filming in New Orleans on July 18th for 7 weeks. Please direct resumes to parkerresumes@gmail.com.

Its also rumored that Quentin Tarantino’s next film Django Unchained will also be shot in New Orleans, but, if that happens, it probably won’t begin filming until next year.
