According to SCNow.com, HBO’s Eastbound & Down will spend five days filming in Myrtle Beach, SC next week.
As season two came to a close last year, Kenny Powers (Danny McBride) was heading off to play in the Texas Rangers minor league baseball team in Myrtle Beach, hence the South Carolina shoot.
Next week’s scenes will take place at BB&T Coastal Field, along Ocean Boulevard, along the Boardwalk, and restaurant row between July 5th and July 9th.
Most exciting though is the news that Matthew McConaughey is expected to be in town for shoot as well!

july 6 was at ocean boulevard/ boardwalk 6:00pm to around midnight. got a bunch of good pics, couple of danny flipping us off (friendly gesture) lol
today the 7th they will be filming at BB&T stadium, and also a few shoots late night at the boardwalk, right across from the gay dolphin and marvins

I was on the Delta flight out of Myrtle Beach with Matthew M today. Before the flight took off i was helping his little girl pick out candy at the gift shop not realizing she was his. then i boarded and i was in the row behind first class right behind him and his children and a nanny (or relative of his wife’s?) He was lovely and very polite to everyone and acted like a normal father holding his kids and talking to them about taking off etc. Delta treated him like royalty and took him out the jetway door down the stairs to the next plane so he wouldn’t have to go through the terminal at all… which i didn’t really mind b/c he had been such a great presence on the plane and was nice to the one young guy 3 rows behind me that got the nerve up to go into first class and ask for his autograph. I left the plane thinking…. I could hang out with that guy, he’s a class act ! 🙂
