The cast of Modern Family is taking a road trip for the show’s season three premiere, to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Filming is expected to take place in mid-August at various locations, including Lost Creek Ranch. Mike Halpin, owner of Lost Creek recently said, “We are looking forward to working with the producers, cast and crew. We are especially proud to have had a part in securing this episode for Wyoming since millions of viewers around the world will associate the western guest ranch experience with our state and our valley.”
The ABC series reportedly considered several western locations before settling on Wyoming. A combination of the community’s flexibility and the state’s film incentives helped secure the shoot for Jackson Hole.
Modern Family is usually shot in Los Angeles.
Though there aren’t any details about the episode yet, it is set to air on Wednesday, September 21st at 9:00 P.M. EST.
