Thanks to our friends at Walking Dead Locations, we’ve learned that The Walking Dead will be filming in Sharpsburg, Georgia on August 1st.
Earlier this month they filmed at nearby Newnan High School in Newnan, GA, and now they plan to take over a small storefront in Sharpsburg. The old brick country store building on Main Street is being made to look like a drugstore.
Though filming is scheduled for August 1st only, the production company has expressed interest in shooting at the location again later in the month.

my 12 year old son is learning filming in school and was wondering do they allow people to stand on the side and watch filiming. this would be a great experience for him. thanks
