More filming locations and updates for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ filming in NYC on Friday, Saturday, & Sunday

As I mentioned yesterday, The Dark Knight Rises (aka Magnus Rex) updates have been flooding in fast and furiously.

Below are a few of the highlights from all of the recent updates we’ve received from readers who have spotted signs for the upcoming shoot in the NYC area this week:

For the Wall St. shoot this weekend:

Magnus Rex No Parking signs posted on Watt St, between Water and Williams St, at Water and Williams, on Water between Maiden and Wall, parts of Maiden Lane, Broadway and Bowling Green, at Broadway and Nassau, and on William near the Fed. All signs are for filming on Sat and Sun from 5am to 12am. The letters posted for residents also state that there will be gunfire involved in the scenes.

In addition, we heard Gotham police cars were being unloaded today on Wall St and they are building a stage on the corner of Wall & Broad.

For the midtown shoot tomorrow:

More Magnus Rex signs spotted on 58th and 6th/7th and on 55th & 56th between Madison & 5th for Friday, all day.

For the Newark, NJ shoot:

In Newark, in addition to the subway closures, streets around city hall and downtown Newark along McCarter Highway, including Raymond Boulevard, University Avenue and Broad, Market, Mulberry, Halsey and Washington streets will see road closures and re-routing of buses on Nov. 3rd and 4th due to filming.

Gotham “parking lot” in Brooklyn:

Gotham police cars, taxi, SWAT trucks, etc spotted parked in a lot at Flushing Ave and Tompkins Ave in Brooklyn. It sounds like this will be where the movie’s vehicles will be stored through mid-November while they are shooting in NYC.

  1. Any idea if these are day scenes or night scenes?
Batman (in suit) rarely comes out in the day. But is supposedly fighting Bane?

  2. If you read the very top sign it looks like they will be day scenes on Wall St- they filmed a lot of scenes during the day in Pittsburgh and L.A. w/ Batman in costume too…
