‘Pan Am’ uses John Travolta’s plane for “Haiti” scene

As we reported last week, Pan Am recently shot several scenes set in Haiti at the Republic Airport in Long Island and one of our tipsters has sent us a few more details about the shoot.

The production used a wooded area on the airport grounds where they set up a tent with Haitian flags. It looked like it was supposed to be a field hospital in the scene.

They also took one of John Travolta’s planes, which usually has Qantas markings, and brought it into a hangar to have Pan Am’s colors and logo applied to it.

Pan Am stars Karine Vanasse, Christina Ricci and Mike Vogel were all spotted on set, along with a number of extras who were taking part in the overnight shoot.

Check out a few more pics from the set below and be sure to let us know if you spot Pan Am filming on location around New York City too!
