‘Code Name: Geronimo’ begins filming at a former prison in Santa Fe, NM

A new movie about the Navy SEAL mission to kill Osama Bin Laden began filming at the Old Main Prison outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico this week.

Crews have built a two-story replica of Osama bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan at the former jail.

Code Name: Geronimo stars Cam Gigandet, Robert Knepper, Anson Mount, Freddy Rodríguez, Xzibit and Kenneth Miller as the special operatives who undertake the mission, while William Fichtner, Kathleen Robertson and Eddie Kaye Thomas play the CIA officers involved in the operation.

The movie is expected to wrap in New Mexico by the end of themonth before moving overseas to film additional scenes set in Pakistan.
