As we reported earlier this week, the independent film Adult World has started a 22-day shoot in Syracuse, NY, and now it has been announced that John Cusack has joined the cast, along with its star Emma Roberts.
In the movie, Roberts’ character, Amy, is 21-year-old recent college grad whose unpaid student loans force her to move back home with her parents and take a job at an erotic bookstore called Adult World. Cusack will play a fictional writer named Rat Billings, “one of the greatest poets of the ’90s” who is also Amy’s personal hero.
The movie, which is set in Syracuse, will be entirely shot in Upstate New York.
