‘The Dictator’ filming re-shoots in Los Angeles this week

Another movie that was shot elsewhere will be doing re-shoots in Los Angeles this week.

Permits for Finchley Dreams – the working title for The Dictator – were issued for filming  at 539 S Spring St, Los Angeles for  2/15, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and 2/21 – 2/22, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.

The scene will include “interior and exterior dialogue, as well as drive ups & away.”

The Dictator stars Sacha Baron Cohen in two roles – a goat herder and a deposed foreign ruler – and follows “a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.”

The movie was filmed at several locations around New York City over the summer including The Roosevelt Hotel, Central Park, and Cine Magic Studios in Brooklyn, before moving to Fuerteventura, Spain for the duration of the shoot.
